Upgrade to Under Cover Area
A heartfelt thank you to our P&C and Zig Zags for their generous contributions. Thanks to their support, we’re upgrading the flooring in the undercover area to industrial carpet. This will make the space more comfortable for events and increase its usability for PE sessions and class activities. Installation will take place during the first week of the school holidays.
2026 Kindy and Pre-primary Applications
Just a reminder that applications for Kindy and Pre-primary in 2026 close on 25th July. Places are filling quickly, so please ensure your application is submitted before the deadline.
Exciting Facility Upgrades
We’re thrilled to share that our school has received $100,000 in election funding to upgrade our netball courts and Early Childhood play area. We’re currently working with landscapers to design the new play space, and the school will also fund an extension of the fencing to increase the play area for our youngest learners.
School Holiday Safety
If you notice any unwanted visitors or inappropriate behaviour on school grounds during the holidays—including vandalism or e-scooter racing—please contact Education Security at 9264 4771.
Wishing you all a safe and relaxing holiday break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 3!

STRIVE, our school motto, and it expresses the commitment to doing your best and encourages continuous improvement.
At our assembly last week, our Term 2 Strive Award was presented. This award recognises a student for their exemplary citizenship, their contribution to our school, and their strive to be the very best they can be.
Well done to Leroy A , the winner of this special Mullaloo Heights Award.
Congratulation, Leroy A.
On Thursday 12th June, Room 9 shared their classroom themes at our whole-school assembly.
In class, we have been discussing caring for Country and sea, focusing on the environment and sustainability. We've drawn inspiration from Aboriginal conservation practices and our novel study of 'Blueback' by Tim Winton.
We also researched and created an information report on a marine animal from our local ocean habitats and performed an interpretive dance for all to enjoy!

Semester 1 Individual Student Report
Semester 1 reports for students from Kindergarten to Year 6 will be emailed to parents on Wednesday, July the 2nd.
When you receive the email, please click on the link to download and save your child’s report. The link will remain active for four weeks from the date of the email. Saving the report ensures you have a permanent copy for future reference, especially when required for secondary school admissions.
Once saved, we encourage you to read through the report carefully. Take note of the grades for each learning area, as well as the general comment provided by your child’s teacher. Pay particular attention to the feedback on attitude, behaviour, and effort, which reflect your child’s approach to learning throughout the semester.
We recommend reading the report together with your child. Celebrate their achievements and progress, and use this opportunity to discuss goals and areas of focus for Semester 2.
If you have any questions about your child’s report, their progress, do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher to discuss.
Thank you,
Mr Adlam
Interm Swimming this year for students from Pre Primary to Year 6 will take place in Term 3 from August 18 – 29. More information including session times, health forms and the cost of the lessons will be sent home in Week 10 of this term.
‘Right on Track’ at Mullaloo Heights.
Have you ever wondered what it takes to be part of the high-octane world of V8 Supercars?
Earlier in June, we were lucky enough to secure a limited number of places for some our Year 6 students to attend the ‘Students On Track’ Program at the Repco Australia Supercars Championship, held at Barbagallo Raceway in Wanneroo. Thanks to a lucky draw, five enthusiastic students were chosen to spend a thrilling day trackside, diving into the behind-the-scenes action of one of Australia’s premier motorsport events.
Throughout the day, students explored the real-world applications of subjects like mathematics, physical education, science, marketing, first aid, event management, and engineering - all brought to life in the dynamic environment of a large-scale racing event.
The Students received some VIP treatment that included free passes, attending a press conference where they ask their questions to some of the drivers, experience the pits area where they could see the cars up close and could watch the mechanics and crew at work, seeing the purpose-built team transporters, attended an autograph signing session, and they got to enjoy the excitement of the Supercars practice sessions, support category sessions and other entertainment on track. It was a busy and action packed day!
We would like to thank Supercars Australia for their amazing support and generosity in making this experience happen.
Written by Mr Adlam.
Here’s what some of our students had to say:
My favourite part was getting the signatures and looking in their team shops. It was exciting getting to meet the drivers. I found the press conference really interesting. Thanks everyone for making it possible. (Jessamy)
I enjoyed meeting the drivers and getting their autographs. The press conference was, thanks to everyone for this experience. (Violeta).
My favourite thing was going to the pits area and watching it all from there, and just being there was so much fun. The cars looked great on the track. Thanks to all the drivers and everyone who made it possible for us to come, I liked it a lot! (Olivia)
My favourite thing was going to watch all the special cars, especially seeing some of the luxury cars on display. Thanks to everyone, it was a great day. (Harper).
I enjoyed seeing all the special things there, my favourite car to see was the Bugatti Veyron, it had lots of carbon fibre and was really cool. The press conference was also great, thanks to Supercars and everyone for organising. (Dusty).
Lightning Carnival Success!
On Monday, 23rd June, Mullaloo Heights Primary School proudly took part in the 2025 Lightning Carnival, with teams competing in netball, soccer, and mod crosse. Our students trained with enthusiasm each week, guided by the dedicated efforts of Mr Croome, Mrs Ward, Mrs Bruce, and Mr Adlam. We were also lucky to have incredible support from our parent coaches, who generously volunteered their time and expertise.
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing coaches:

Fremantle Dockers Light Up Our School!
Dockers Visit Brings Footy Magic to Our School!
What an unforgettable day Thursday, 4th June turned out to be! Thanks to the West Perth Football Club, we had the incredible opportunity to welcome five Fremantle Dockers stars — Andrew Brayshaw, Jordan Clarke, Murphy Reid, Odin Jones and Jeremy Sharp — to our school.
The entire school community, from Pre-primary to Year 6, gathered with excitement for a special Q&A and signing session. Students were thrilled to meet the players up close, ask their burning footy questions, and take home a signed Dockers team poster as a keepsake.
The visit was packed with energy, inspiration, and plenty of smiles — a truly memorable moment for everyone involved. A huge thank you to the Dockers and West Perth Football Club for bringing such footy fun to our school!

Year 4–6 Knockout Lunchtime Netball Competition
Over the past few weeks, our talented Year 4–6 students have been giving it their all in the Knockout Lunchtime Netball Competition!
Three enthusiastic and competitive teams took to the court: The Fever 6’s, Mullaloo Inferno, and Pink Pony Club. Each team displayed incredible determination, teamwork, and resilience in every match they played.
A huge congratulations to The Fever 6’s, who emerged as the overall champions of the competition!
Well done to every player who participated—you demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship and encouraged each other every step of the way. We’re proud of your efforts!

St John Ambulance Teachers Lifesaving Skills
Mullaloo Heights was buzzing with excitement last week as Linzey from St John Ambulance visited our school to deliver fun, interactive first aid sessions to all students from Pre-Primary to Year 6.
Students learned how to call 000 and what to do in an emergency using the DRABCD steps: Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing, CPR, and Defibrillation. These hands-on lessons were not only enjoyable but also gave our students vital skills and confidence that could help save a life.

PEAC (Primary Extension and Challenge) Program – Year 4 Testing
All Year 4 students will participate in PEAC testing on Monday, August 4. This assessment is designed to identify students for selection into the PEAC program, which offers part-time extension and enrichment opportunities for exceptionally able students in Years 5 and 6.
Information regarding the testing was sent home with students yesterday. If you have not received it or require further details, please contact your child’s class teacher or myself.
