366.jpg
Kaya families,

Welcome to the final newsletter of Term 2. We’re sending this edition out a week early to accommodate our transition to a new communication platform, which will officially launch on Tuesday, 1st July.

Introducing Compass School Manager

We’re excited to announce that Compass School Manager will become our new Parent Portal. Through Compass, you’ll be able to:

· Access your child’s student progress and semester reports

· Book Parent/Student/Teacher conferences

· View real-time class and school attendance information

· Approve or enter absences for your child

· Download, print, and approve upcoming excursions

· Update your registered email and mobile number (used for SMS alerts)

· Stay informed about upcoming events and school news

Compass is a web-based platform accessible via any modern browser or through the Compass School Manager app, available for both iOS and Android. To log in, visit: https://mullalooheightsps-wa.compass.education If you already have a Compass account, you can add your Mullaloo Heights child by clicking the blue plus (+) button and searching for our school and your child’s details.

Upgrade to Under Cover Area

A heartfelt thank you to our P&C and Zig Zags for their generous contributions. Thanks to their support, we’re upgrading the flooring in the undercover area to industrial carpet. This will make the space more comfortable for events and increase its usability for PE sessions and class activities. Installation will take place during the first week of the school holidays.

2026 Kindy and Pre-primary Applications

Just a reminder that applications for Kindy and Pre-primary in 2026 close on 25th July. Places are filling quickly, so please ensure your application is submitted before the deadline.

Exciting Facility Upgrades

We’re thrilled to share that our school has received $100,000 in election funding to upgrade our netball courts and Early Childhood play area. We’re currently working with landscapers to design the new play space, and the school will also fund an extension of the fencing to increase the play area for our youngest learners.

School Holiday Safety

If you notice any unwanted visitors or inappropriate behaviour on school grounds during the holidays—including vandalism or e-scooter racing—please contact Education Security at 9264 4771.

Wishing you all a safe and relaxing holiday break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 3!

Kind Regards,

Trudy Jones
Principal
