Kaya families,
I trust this newsletter finds you well as we enter the WA Day Weekend.
Kindy enrolments are now open! I am conducting school tours fortnightly if you have neighbours that have children who are ready to start Kindy in 2026 please encourage them to join a tour and send in their enrolments. I would like to remind all our current Kindy parents that they are required to re-enrol their child into Pre-Primary for 2026. Enrolment forms are located on our website.
The staff are enhancing our collaboration with the schools in the OREN (Ocean Reef Education Network). Through  professional learning that is being offered includes:
• Impact Coaching – teachers coaching teachers
• Trauma informed practice
• Supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in schools
• Supporting students with Developmental Language Disorder in schools
• Science specialist collaboration and planning
• Manager Corporate Services collaborative meeting
• Deputy Principals collaborative meeting
We will be rolling out the Department of Education’s new and improved online student information system at the end of this term which will become our new system for communication with parents and it will replace SZapp. More information will come out to parents as it becomes available. Please stay up to date with this via the SZapp notifications.
We celebrated Mothers’ Day with the P&C putting on the annual stall and morning tea, this is a fantastic event, our Kindy mums were also treated to a morning of pampering and activities. Enjoy browsing the photos of these events.
65 Roses Day is a Day to learn about and support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and we are committed to raising money for this worthy cause.  This year each child made a rose and we sold roses before and afterschool which raised over $850. Thank you to everyone who supported this. Enjoy viewing the photos of our display and the year 4-6 students working collaboratively on making posters for the event.

The Learner Disposition of Curious has been the class focus this term and I am extremely proud of these students who were identified as being curious learners in their class.
