Student Wellbeing Officer
Welcome back, I hope you all had an enjoyable Easter.
I would like to raise awareness about online safety and resources we have available to us.
Over the break, you may have come across or heard people speaking about the Netflix drama Adolescence (Rated M). It's sparking a lot of conversations about the growing influence of social media, especially how certain content and influencers can negatively impact how children and adults see the world.
I want to let you know about some support that's available. The eSafety Commissioner offers free, practical support for parents, carers and schools. Their website is full of easy to read guides and short videos that can help you feel more confident talking with your child about what they are seeing online.
Start here:
Parent resources | eSafety Commissioner to explore tips on screen time, respectful relationships, online games and how to respond if something feels off.
Let's work together to support our kids in navigating the digital world.
Take Care,
Ash Whittle
