All families in Years 3 and 5 should have received a NAPLAN brochure by now. If yours has been misplaced, you can find it attached to this post. NAPLAN is scheduled to take place over a 9-day testing window beginning Wednesday, March 12.

Students will complete the NAPLAN Writing, Reading, Conventions of Language, and Numeracy tests online, except for the Year 3 Writing test, which will still be delivered on paper. If you have any questions regarding the assessments, please contact me or the classroom teacher.

Students are engaging in activities at school to help them prepare for the testing. Additionally, they are encouraged to use the public demonstration tests at home to familiarise themselves with the types of questions and functionalities available in the online NAPLAN assessment. Some of the key features include a range of question types, onscreen tools, timers and interactive navigation. Students are encouraged to try all the available tests for their year level to practise the complete range of question formats available. Using the public demonstration tests at home is a fantastic way to get more familiar with the types of questions and the online tools they'll encounter during the actual tests.
