Welcome back to the last Term of 2023! We hope all of you had a relaxed and well-deserved break. The next ten weeks whilst full of positive celebratory activities is also one of the most hectic times for schools as teachers are ensuring all curriculum areas have been taught and assessments are up to date. It is vitally important that each child attends school every day that they are able to unless they are unwell or need to attend an appointment. If you are having difficulty with getting your child to school, please reach out to us, we are here to help. Every day counts!
Remember to hand in to your class teacher the Chaplain's Values Challenge for the holidays to get Dojo points and go in the draw for a canteen voucher.
This term we have a few staff changes, we welcome Mrs Renae Altham as School Officer Tuesday - Thursdays; Ms Sharmian Moult is full time Manager Corporate Services whilst Mrs Wendy Fawcett is on leave and Mrs Alice Vickers will be in Room 8 each Friday whilst Mrs Di Thorby is on leave.
The year 6's embarked on the annual school camp at Fairbridge Village Camp, Pinjarra, there was so much excitement and a few nerves as parents waved off the bus on Tuesday morning. I would like to whole heartedly thank Mr Adlam, Mrs Grant, Mr Libbis and Mrs Smith the enormous amount of organisation, time and effort they have put into organising the camp to ensure each child has a positive experience. They have also given up precious family time to be on camp which is greatly appreciated. Without staff who are willing to do this camps would not be able to go ahead. The activities the students participated in included, Archery, High Ropes, Flying Fox, Canoeing, Rock climbing. See the photo gallery below for some of the camp highlights.
We value our community and their opinions about our school, with this in mind we invite you to complete the National School Opinion Survey which has been sent to each family via email on Tuesday 10th October from admin@schoolsurvey.edu.au. The data from this survey will support us in providing the best environment for our students, parents and staff. The survey will be open until 27th October 2023.
