On Thursday 7th September, Room 6 had the pleasure of hosting the whole school assembly. This term the children have thoroughly enjoyed learning about the Online Safety during our Digital Technology unit. The children wanted to make it educational to show off their knowledge, but also humorous by adding several little role plays. We hope everyone enjoyed our assembly and listening to our 'Online Safety' song.

2023 Faction Athletics Carnival
Although we had four seasons in one day, the faction carnival was a fun day for all students from Pre-primary to year 6. Students participated in tabloid events in the morning, followed by running races, relays and grand relay in the afternoon. As always, it was wonderful to see the encouragement, good sportsmanship and teamwork shown by our students throughout the day. Congratulations to everyone who participated.
A big thank you goes out to our parent helpers, the P&C for organising the Subway lunch and cake stall, and to the parents for baking or donating all the baked goodies. Also, a special mention to Pauline Lyon from Peard Real Estate who so kindly organised for a coffee van - Beachside Barista, with proceeds going to the P&C . This year Big Child Care kindly provided water bottles for the students throughout the day.

The Talent Assembly held last term, was an amazing showcase of the skills and talent we have in our school. Well done to all our performers!
What a treat it was to have Timmy and the Breakfast Band perform for our school on Monday! This amazing trio entertained us with fantastic live music while Timmy's antics kept us laughing. Thankyou to Musica Viva in Schools for this outstanding incursion.
The school choir were fabulous at the One Big Voice concert on Friday night. The students sang and behaved so well, we felt very proud of all of them!
Throughout 2023, the School Board has been meeting regularly. Both Paul Fildes and I have continued as parent representatives on the school board and we have recently welcomed Meike Stewart as an additional parent representative. We look forward to working with Meike and benefiting from her thoughts and ideas.
Earlier this term, we held our annual Open Meeting. The current Principal of ORSHS and the Director of BIG Childcare came along, presented to the group and participated in a Q&A session. At our meeting, we were also informed of some preliminary NAPLAN data, which is very promising and reinforces the positive steps made by school staff in improving consistency of teaching practices across the school.
Term Three has been a very busy term with a range of different school and P&C events. The school board would like to acknowledge the efforts of school staff (teaching, education support staff and non-teaching staff) and the members P&C in organising and coordinating the events. We would also like to acknowledge the efforts of parents/carers keeping up with the events and the different requirements. We wish all students, families and staff a relaxing Term 3 break.

Happy Friday Families!
Wow, what a term it’s been! This term, the P&C has organised the following events - Fathers Day, Open Night sausage sizzle, Book Fair, Cards that Count and the Faction Carnival bake stall.
With your support of these events and generous donations, not only have we had successful community celebrations, but we have raised a HUGE $5114 for our school ???
This money goes towards paying for an array of things, specifically…
- Book week incursions
- Year 6 camp
- Lego day prizes
- Teacher wish list items
- Transport to inter school carnivals.
We couldn’t do all this without our event organisers and the support of the Mullaloo community! To people who volunteered their time, donated prizes, baked food, set up and packed up, ran stalls, organised raffles, and more! To the businesses that supported out events - IGA Mullaloo, Caitlin Collins, Peard Real Estate, Caterlink
THANK YOU EVERYONE ?
If you haven’t been involved before, don’t be afraid to put your hand up or come along to a meeting. Suggestions for future events are always welcome!
