The students from Pre-Primary to Year 6 showed resilience over the two weeks of swimming lessons as they braved the cold weather, persistence in learning new skills and techniques and responsibility in taking care of their belongings. Congratulations to those students who passed their level.
Take care, stay safe.

Swimming lessons for our Pre-Primary to Year 6 students took place over the last two weeks and were a great success with the students’ progressing well through the various swimming stages. Congratulations to the children on their success.
This week, the teachers and students have settled back into our regular routines.
A few quotes from some of our students;
“I like swimming and really enjoyed the games we played. I liked going on the bus” (Frankie – Y1).
“We learnt to swim better and got to play some games in the water. It was fun” (Harper – Y3).
“I enjoyed swimming with some of my friends and I learnt some new swim techniques” (Ziggy – Y4).
“I really enjoyed learning the survival techniques, wearing the life jackets and I had a lot of fun with my friends” (Cleo – Y6).
“I enjoyed this because it was different to normal swim training. I learnt how to save people, protect myself from the dangers of the water and had lots of fun with my friends” (Keira – Y6).
Thank you,
Mr Adlam

NAPLAN testing is now complete. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our Year 3 and 5 testing team of Mrs Langley, Mrs Bean–Hannigan and Miss Embling for their great work preparing for and administering the NAPLAN tests. Student results should be available during Term 3. We will notify parents when these become available.
Thank you,
Mr Adlam

Meet Miss Pittard, our new School Chaplain
School Chaplain
Thank you to everyone who donated, helped out or bought something at the Democracy Sausage Sizzle. We raised $1,565.09 which will go straight back to our school and will be put towards new shelving in the ECU.
Thanks must also go to IGA Mullaloo for donating $500 worth of snaggers!
The Scholastic Book Fair was another great success. Thank you to everyone who bought something and our many volunteers for making it run so smoothly. We raised $1,654.50 in book credits for the library. Congratulations to the winners of the colouring in competition.
Wednesday was our Faction X-Country carnival and we hope you all got down to the oval to enjoy a coffee from the Beachside Barista Coffee van. Pauline Lyon from Peard Real Estate has once again sponsored the van so all money raised will go towards a new compressor for the Phys Ed Department.
Well done to all the kids who gave it their best effort.
The P&C have also arranged Cards that Count as a fundraiser again this year as most people thought it was a great idea last year even though we did end up with some “It’s a Boy” and Valentine’s Day cards. I think it all adds to the charm of our kids being kids. The cards will be created at school and we’ll let you know when they’re ready to order.
We have also arranged a pizza day for the last day of term on Friday 1 July. More info will be coming soon.
