We were so fortunate last week to be able to host our faction swimming carnival at Craigie Leisure Centre. It was a splendid day and I congratulate not only the ribbon winners but every single participant who had a go, did their best and had fun. We certainly have some amazing swimming talent at Mullaloo Heights it was a pleasure to watch some of our students achieve personal best times in their events. Albatross won the overall competition this year. Special thanks go to Mrs Thorby for the time and effort which goes into organising such an event.
Yesterday, everyone enjoyed being just a little crazy to support the P&C raise money for the school with the Crazy Hair Day which also incorporated a touch of Green for St Patricks Day. Thank you to the parents who put a lot of effort into the wild hair designs which were seen across the school.
It gives me pleasure to announce the Environmental Monitors, Library Monitors and Sound Technicians for the year. I know that these students will do an outstanding job in leading these important areas of the school.

Thank you to the families for their ongoing support as we navigate through the ever-changing COVID-19 landscape. The year 3-6 students have adapted well to wearing masks and are provided with plenty of outside break times where they can get fresh air and take off their masks. Whilst we have not had any positive cases to at school several families and staff had needed to isolate due to being close contacts, with the beginning of the Very High Caseload settings this should ease but families do need to be prepared for some changes with staff and school timetables, these will only be made when necessary to ensure we can maintain face to face learning. Communication is vitally important during this time and I would like to remind the parents that should you or your child return a positive PCR or RAT result to inform the school immediately via the SZapp attendance or email.
Take care and stay safe.

2022 Faction Swimming Carnival
On Wednesday 9th March, we held our annual swimming carnival at Craigie Leisure Centre. The students participated in freestyle, breastroke, backstroke and butterfly races as well as fun novelty events and relays. Students earnt points for their factions as well as receiving ribbons for their placings. We continued to have timed Championship races where students had the opportunity to earn points to win a medal. It was great to see so many students having a go at the various events and trying their best!
Thank you to all our parent helpers who assisted students and teachers on the day, without our helpers our carnival would not be able to go ahead so please know you are all very much appreciated.
The overall results were:
1st Albatross
2nd Tern
3rd Gull
